A Note From The Executive Director.
Individual wellness is affected by our culture and our life experiences. We believe wellness is conscious, self-directed and evolving; holistic and multidimensional; positive and affirming; justice and equity; diversity and inclusive.
We believe everyone’s needs are unique. Each of the Eight Dimensions of Wellness represents an integral part of our life. We believe there doesn’t have to be a perfect balance among all dimensions. Instead , our goal in working with you is to find a personal harmony with these wellness dimensions that is most authentic to you. We provide a therapeutic space to support the dynamic processes of growth, change, recovery and healing.
We acknowledge and understand that not all persons have equal access and opportunities due to systemic and structural barriers. We acknowledge the importance of cultural competence when providing services to individuals and families who have different values, lifestyles, and transitions based on their distinctive heritage, culture, religion, social relationships and personal identity.
Our hope is that a balanced lifestyle focused on incorporating wellness, based on your individual strengths and needs, engages your body and physical self, intellectual mind and nurtures your spiritual well-being. We strive to cultivate an environment, emphasizing on a personalized approach, that allows you to live a life where you are not just surviving because wellness is a holistic integration about living life to your true potential by finding what works best for you.
Each of the eight pillars of holistic wellness will adversely affect one’s health, well-being, and quality of life. A well-rounded balance of each of these wellness dimensions provides holistic harmony to one’s personal well-being and quality of life.
By providing diverse services to support you during your wellness journey, plan of care, recovery, or process of healing, encompassing the wellness dimensions (or looking at you as the whole picture) will provide harmony to your personal well-being and quality of life, while strengthening innate principles of compassion, awareness, creativity, and vulnerability, as well as fostering safety, diversity and belonging.
